Close to Paradise was built around the music of Patrick Watson and Torngat and offered a unique immersive experience in a virtual village on the border between fiction and reality, a pretext for the promotion and marketing of emerging music.
Close to Paradise is both the pilot and first chapter of a series of six episodes. yako ensuring the delivery and direction of creation of this series, a true interactive immersion in a fantasy world of images and videos in black and white. The soundtrack of Torngat contributed to an atmosphere that is both mysterious and peaceful. The user journey through the musical environment and to embrace the fictional "stories" of the people of Paradise.
Although the user does not participate in content creation, it remains central to the experience and must perform certain activities to continue his discovery of Paradise (read a scrapbook, build a radio, read and extract clues of Clarion, the daily life of Paradise). In addition to action moments interspersed with short films, the user has the choice to discover, at their own pace, three distinct environments: the cafeteria and rumors, cabaret and video clips of artists and the community; The Gate the Close to Paradise blog dedicated to artists and main bridge between the fantasy and reality.
